What is Assistive technology?
An assistive technology is any software or hardware that enables people with disabilities to use a computer or mobile device. This includes screen readers, screen magnifiers, adapted keyboards, switches, speech recognition software, and braille displays. Websites must be compatible with these technologies to be considered accessible under WCAG and the RGAA.
