What is WAI-ARIA?

WAI-ARIA (Web Accessibility Initiative - Accessible Rich Internet Applications) is a W3C specification that defines additional HTML attributes to make dynamic web interfaces accessible. It provides roles, states, and properties that enrich the semantics of custom components (tabs, carousels, autocompletes). ARIA does not modify behavior or visual appearance: it only acts on the accessibility tree.
